The China man trick

There's nothing more interesting than taking the #8 city bus in Vancouver.

Pretty typical for the # 8 bus to be packed mostly of the China Town population. From the cute little girls wearing hello kitty toques and t-shirts, teenage boys geared up in the hottest new sport brands with streakes on their longish black hair to the young women in Gucci and Versace knock offs.

Brett and I were sitting directly behind an older man. We sat looking at the back of his head. He was probably in his 90's. He wore what looked like a plain black baseball cap but then we noticed on the adjustable strap it read "DANGEROUS". We wondered what the front of his hat looked like. Like most older chinese men, he had a lean physique, black hair with few grays and nice darker skin . He sat alone most of the ride, on the isle seat. Every few stops where the bus would pick up more people he'd have someone sit with him, much to his dismay. We noticed though that he refused to scoot over to the window seat every time. It became quite hilarious when a woman passenger would stand by him with tons of bags or parcels and wait for him to move in so she can take a seat but instead he'd take a big sigh and mummble something under his breath and in the smallest effort as possible he'd slightly move his legs over a tiny bit, just enough to let the person in. He did this probably 5 or 6 times. I don't know why but I liked him for it.
